Senior Consultant – Financial Services Tax & Business Advisory (Hong Kong)

About the role

Deloitte's Tax and Business Advisory practice in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Consultant to support financial services clients with tax compliance, planning and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical tax knowledge to support leadership on compliance and reporting projects for financial services clients.
• Manage a portfolio of Hong Kong profits tax compliance matters, including dispute resolution.
• Identify and develop solutions in response to changes in Hong Kong and global tax/accounting regulations.
• Deliver tax services covering compliance, planning, FSIE regime, Pillar 2 and QDMTT issues.
• Lead cross‑border business tax projects for financial services clients.
• Advise on tax implications of expansion, acquisition, divestment and reorganisation locally and internationally.
• Collaborate with other Deloitte service lines and offices to deliver cross‑functional and cross‑border projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification or law qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a tax function, preferably within a CPA firm; Big‑4 experience is desirable.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Hong Kong profits tax compliance.
• Knowledge of the FSIE regime, Pillar 2 and QDMTT.
• Understanding of cross‑border tax issues for financial services.
• Ability to interpret tax and accounting regulations.
