Senior HR Officer

About the role

Discovery Bay International School (DBIS) is looking for a Senior HR Officer to join its Human Resources team. The role supports the school’s mission of providing a highly personalized learning environment for over 1,000 students, guided by the values of care, kindness, respect and compassion. The successful candidate will help ensure that staff recruitment, development and wellbeing align with these values and with the school’s safeguarding commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the administration of recruitment, onboarding and staff records for teaching and support staff.
• Support the implementation and communication of HR policies that reflect the school’s values and safeguarding standards.
• Coordinate staff benefits, including the medical and dental scheme and transportation pass.
• Maintain compliance with Hong Kong employment legislation and the school’s rigorous background‑check procedures.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR support to managers and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Permanent resident of Hong Kong or holder of a valid work visa.
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to work collaboratively within an international school community.
• Demonstrated experience in a human resources role, preferably at a senior level.
