Senior Legal Counsel – Global Operations

About the role

This senior legal position supports the Group’s worldwide operations by delivering centralized legal services, coordinating cross‑border projects, and managing legal knowledge. The role is pivotal in ensuring legal compliance and strategic alignment across all jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overseas subsidiaries and provide end‑to‑end legal support for global strategic projects, including IP management, data compliance and cross‑regional initiatives.
• Review, standardize and streamline legal and compliance processes across operating jurisdictions, creating detailed SOPs and workflows.
• Build and maintain a robust legal knowledge base, monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable insights for business units.
• Track global regulatory changes, provide forward‑looking legal advice, and design training programs to raise compliance awareness.
• Drive digital transformation of legal operations, optimize internal system workflows and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• LL.B. or higher from a full‑time program and a valid law license/bar in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a multinational corporate legal department or top‑tier law firm.
• Experience in fintech, internet, or intellectual‑property sectors is a strong plus.
• Professional proficiency in English with the ability to handle cross‑border legal matters.
• Strong project‑management, cross‑functional communication, and resilience under pressure.
