Senior Manager, Data Governance

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead and coordinate data governance practices across the organization. The role ensures data is managed as a trusted, secure and controlled enterprise asset, and covers data quality, ownership, access and lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Define, maintain and enhance data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls and governance frameworks
• Manage core governance processes including metadata, data dictionary, data lineage, access controls, and lead Data Stewardship forums and working groups
• Monitor data quality, governance issues, audit findings and risk assessments, and implement improvements to strengthen controls
• Drive governance awareness, maintain documentation and act as the liaison between business and technology teams

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Risk or related disciplines, with proven success implementing enterprise-wide governance frameworks and data control programs
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders and drive a data-driven culture across business, technology, risk, compliance and audit functions
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)

Required skills

• Data quality management, data lineage, metadata management, data cataloguing and master data management (MDM)
• Understanding of data-related regulations, privacy requirements and governance standards, with experience in highly regulated industries such as insurance, banking or financial services
• Certifications such as CDMP, DCAM, DAMA or equivalent
