Senior Manager, Finance

About the role

The Senior Manager, Bermuda Finance will lead the entity’s financial operations, reporting and governance. This position requires deep knowledge of finance and insurance processes and will ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance across budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The role also drives process design, stakeholder management and supports a scalable operating model as business volume grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present LDTI and BMA returns, providing insights to senior management.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and cash‑flow management.
• Manage selected financial systems, including eBao, and ensure effective implementation and performance.
• Define end‑to‑end process flows for policy issuance, commission calculation, premium collection, benefit payout and reinsurance.
• Establish ownership, segregation of duties and escalation protocols for key finance processes.
• Identify and drive process improvements to reduce manual work and support scalability.
• Partner with HK Finance, FP&A, operations and system teams to resolve dependencies and support product launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• HKICPA qualification or equivalent professional accounting designation.
• Minimum 10 + years of progressive finance or controllership experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance and insurance processes, financial reporting and governance.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across local, global and corporate teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English; Cantonese and Mandarin preferred.
