Senior Manager – Operations Excellence, Fleets & Transportation

About the role

We are seeking a senior transportation professional to lead fleet visibility, cost discipline and subcontractor governance for a global logistics provider in Hong Kong. The role combines system development, data‑driven governance and team leadership to optimise the transportation vertical.

Key responsibilities

• Design and enhance transportation management systems and dashboards covering vehicle utilisation, fleet cost, fuel usage, mileage, operating hours, driver behaviour, and repair & maintenance performance.
• Establish fleet governance frameworks to improve cost visibility, utilisation reviews, R&M monitoring, exception reporting and management review across business units.
• Partner with business‑unit managers and operations teams to identify low‑utilisation or high‑cost vehicles and recommend practical improvement actions.
• Develop subcontractor governance frameworks, including price benchmarking, KPI measurement, performance reviews and compliance monitoring.
• Coordinate transportation policies, operating standards and system implementation across Hong Kong business units for consistency and transparency.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations and external vendors to improve data accuracy, automation and reporting discipline.
• Lead and develop a small team of four FTEs, driving governance, accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline.
• 6–10 years of experience in transportation, fleet management, cost control, subcontractor management or system implementation.
• Strong understanding of vehicle utilisation, fleet cost control, repair & maintenance management, subcontractor KPIs and transportation governance.
• Proven ability to build reporting frameworks, dashboards and management‑review mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Cantonese required, Putonghua preferred.
• Valid Hong Kong driving licence preferred (site visits may be required).
