Senior Planning Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to lead the planning function on a large‑scale infrastructure programme that includes new town development, advanced technology facilities and integrated transport systems across multiple sites. The role will drive programme certainty, support decision‑making and contribute to net‑zero objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Leads the application of advanced planning and scheduling methodologies to drive programme certainty.
• Applies strong planning, Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls expertise to inform decision‑making.
• Communicates insights and performance analysis clearly to clients, teams and stakeholders.
• Influences complex requirements and recommends effective corrective actions.
• Manages and develops a high‑performing planning team to deliver best‑practice outcomes.
• Contributes to net‑zero goals by proactively identifying and managing carbon impacts in delivery.

Required profile

• Strong written communication and up‑to‑date knowledge of schedule management tools and industry practices.
• Broad construction experience across multi‑industry, multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Delivers service excellence with effective problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement.
• Experienced in planning techniques; degree in construction/engineering preferred, with additional local qualifications beneficial.
