Senior Software Engineer, C++

About the role

Flow Traders is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its Hong Kong team. You will help build and optimise the event‑driven trading systems that process massive data streams at ultra‑low latency, supporting researchers and traders in making rapid, data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and global rollout of the Core platform used across market data, quantitative research, pricing and strategy groups.
• Design, implement and maintain exchange connectivity modules handling market data and order flow via FIX, Websocket, HTTP and custom SDKs.
• Develop tools and frameworks that enable data‑driven systematic pricing and trading strategies.
• Collaborate closely with technologists, quantitative researchers and traders to gather requirements, iterate on designs and validate performance.
• Ensure software quality through extensive testing suites, continuous integration and performance optimisation, including kernel bypass and TLS tuning.

Required profile

• Proven experience building low‑latency, event‑driven systems in C++.
• Strong understanding of financial market data feeds and order routing.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, iterative environment and translate business needs into robust code.
• Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to engage directly with end‑users.
