Senior Technical Manager – Vulnerability Management & Penetration Testing

About the role

We are looking for a senior technical manager to lead our penetration testing and vulnerability management programme. The role will oversee end‑to‑end testing engagements across applications, infrastructure and cloud environments, ensuring high‑quality execution and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate penetration testing engagements, including web, mobile, system and infrastructure assessments.
• Identify, validate and exploit vulnerabilities using manual techniques and automated tools, and provide detailed remediation guidance.
• Develop custom scripts, payloads and exploits to test security controls and improve testing methodologies.
• Produce technical reports, dashboards and key risk indicators for senior management.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor service level agreements.
• Contribute to internal standards, methodologies and documentation for security testing.
• Support broader cybersecurity initiatives and promote a collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, IT, cybersecurity or related field.
• Industry‑recognised certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSWE, GPEN, CEH, CISSP or CISA.
• 10+ years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability management across multiple disciplines.
• Proven ability to conduct security assessments for applications, infrastructure and cloud platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Qualys, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark.
• Operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS.
• Network concepts: TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, firewalls, WAFs, web content filtering.
• Cloud security on AWS and Azure.
• Application security testing for web, mobile and custom applications.
• Exploit development, custom scripting and payload creation.
