Server Engineer – GPU/HPC Hardware Test (Hong Kong)

About the role

Pragmatike is recruiting for a European deep‑tech company that designs and manufactures its own HPC infrastructure for a sovereign AI cloud. The role is on‑site in Hong Kong, split between the factory floor, a hardware test lab and manufacturing sites, and requires hands‑on work with GPU/HPC servers.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality control across manufacturing sites on the factory floor.
• Run the hardware test lab: board and system bring‑up, validation and stress testing of new server builds.
• Define and maintain test procedures, acceptance criteria and QC checkpoints for chassis, boards and full systems.
• Diagnose hardware, firmware and driver‑level issues and drive root‑cause analysis with design and manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience testing and validating GPU/HPC servers (bring‑up, burn‑in, validation).
• Strong Linux skills at the system and hardware level.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Hong Kong on the factory floor and in the lab.

Required skills

• GPU/HPC server testing and validation.
• Linux system‑level debugging.
• BIOS/UEFI and BMC/IPMI firmware knowledge.
• NVIDIA GPU stack (drivers, CUDA, NCCL) and benchmarking.
• Server hardware components knowledge (motherboard, PCIe, power, cooling, storage, networking).
• QC and manufacturing test processes.
• Scripting in Bash or Python for test automation.
