Solution Architect – Digital Transformation

About the role

DFI Retail Group is looking for a Solution Architect to bridge the gap between digital architecture vision and practical implementation. You will ensure technology choices and project designs align with business goals and the group’s architecture principles.

Key responsibilities

• Define solution architecture for digital initiatives and assess feasibility, integration complexity, and dependencies early in the BRD/funding stage.
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical designs that comply with Group Tech, security, data, and platform standards.
• Support engineering hand‑off, resolve design issues during build, and sign off solution readiness where relevant.
• Recommend solution options, challenge designs that create technical debt or integration risk, and advise on buy/configure/build decisions.
• Escalate unresolved architecture, security, dependency, or feasibility issues to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6‑10+ years of experience in solution architecture, digital engineering, enterprise architecture, or systems integration.
• Retail/eCommerce or omnichannel platform experience preferred.
• Proven ability to design cross‑system solutions across apps, APIs, middleware, data flows, security, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience working with product, engineering, data, security, and vendor teams.
