Solution Architect – Enterprise IT

About the role

The Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking a Solution Architect to translate business, functional, non‑functional and cybersecurity requirements into cohesive technical designs. You will bridge IT and business teams, ensuring solutions align with strategic goals while supporting the airport’s critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver optimal technical solutions that fit the enterprise IT landscape and target architecture.
• Facilitate communication between IT and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Balance strategic, company‑wide needs with short‑term tactical requirements.
• Integrate solutions holistically across lines of business, development, infrastructure and operations while complying with governance processes.
• Drive enterprise architecture standards, policies, reference architectures, target state blueprints and road‑maps for the relevant domain.
• Collaborate with other architects to co‑own the overall enterprise architecture strategy.
• Analyse the current IT environment, identify deficiencies and recommend improvement solutions.
• Stay abreast of technology trends and assess their impact on the company’s architecture landscape.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with at least 6 years of experience, including 2 years in solution architecture.
• Professional TOGAF certification preferred.
• Proven ability to drive technical alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience with large‑scale back‑office services and enterprise‑grade infrastructure components.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua knowledge is a plus.

Required skills

• TOGAF and enterprise architecture methodology.
• Design and integration of Compute & Virtualization, Storage & Resiliency, and Enterprise Applications Integration platforms.
• Experience with Identify & Core Services and End‑to‑End Integration.
• Knowledge of Agile Architecture and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project‑management software tools.
