Summer Internship 2027 - Global Compliance

About the role

MUFG Bank, Ltd. Hong Kong Branch is offering a Summer Internship Programme 2027 in its Global Compliance stream. The internship gives practical exposure to the regulatory and control environment of an international bank, working alongside Compliance colleagues to learn how the function supports responsible business conduct, regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Support regulatory research and help summarise relevant requirements and developments
• Assist with compliance reviews, documentation, reporting and data-quality checks, including work related to KYC and AML where applicable
• Contribute to monitoring, issue tracking, process improvement and compliance awareness initiatives
• Handle confidential information carefully while developing analytical skills, professional judgement and understanding of regulatory expectations

Required profile

• Penultimate-year student from a reputable university with strong academic results
• Students studying Law, Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics or other relevant disciplines are preferred
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated, with a genuine interest in compliance, regulatory developments and risk management in banking
• Willingness to learn, handle information with discretion and a can-do attitude

Required skills

• Proficiency in English; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage
• Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, risk management, KYC or AML concepts is an advantage
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
