Technical Officer II – Maintenance (Generation/Black Point Power Station)

About the role

The Generation Business Group is seeking a Technical Officer II to join the multi‑disciplinary maintenance team at Black Point Power Station in Tuen Mun. The role involves ensuring reliable operation of plant equipment through inspection, repair, and supervision of maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HRSG‑related mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and repair valves and pumps, including dismantling, alignment, installation, and testing.
• Supervise welding, lifting, rigging, and other mechanical repair work on site.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety procedures, permit‑to‑work requirements and site regulations.
• Prepare and manage spare parts, tools, and consumables for planned and corrective maintenance.
• Report progress, defects, and safety concerns to the responsible engineer.
• Support station operations by participating in Maintenance‑Operator duties.

Required profile

• Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical/Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience, or Ordinary Certificate with at least 4 years experience.
• Proven experience maintaining water‑tube boilers, high‑pressure steam systems or heavy machinery.
• Good knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment regulations and strong safety awareness.
• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Demonstrated supervisory and communication abilities.
