Technical SEO Intern

About the role

First Page is looking for a Technical SEO Intern to join its SEO Tech team. This hands‑on position focuses on technical SEO, website implementation and problem‑solving for SME client accounts. No prior SEO expertise is required, only a genuine interest in how websites work.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day SEO tasks across SME client accounts, including keyword research, competitor analysis and search‑intent mapping.
• Assist with on‑page optimisation such as titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and URL structures.
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawling, indexation, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, structured data and site architecture.
• Implement SEO changes on CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Webflow.
• Use tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush and Screaming Frog to analyse and organise SEO data.
• Perform QA checks after website updates to verify correct implementation of recommendations.
• Research unfamiliar SEO or website issues and develop practical solutions with team support.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate with an interest in SEO, websites, technology or data.
• Strong analytical and logical approach to problem‑solving.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to follow technical instructions carefully.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay well organised.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of SEO concepts.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Webflow.
• Basic knowledge of HTML or CSS.
• Familiarity with SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
