Temporary School Nurse (Aug 2026 – Mar 2027)

About the role

Quarry Bay School is looking for a qualified health professional to cover a maternity leave from August 2026 to March 2027. The role involves managing the school’s medical room and providing immediate, appropriate care to students on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the medical room, ensuring it is clean, well‑stocked and ready to support student well‑being.
• Assess and treat students who report sick, delivering first‑aid care and arranging further medical action when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all medical room visits and complete accident and insurance forms.
• Coordinate with parents, hospitals and the Health Department for referrals, hospitalisations and vaccination programmes.
• Supply first‑aid kits for school trips, camps and excursions and prepare related medical paperwork.
• Provide health‑related advice, education and hygiene guidance to students and staff.
• Deliver first‑aid training to staff and support the principal with any additional duties.

Required profile

• Registered or enrolled nurse in Hong Kong (overseas registration considered).
• Certificate, diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience in a hospital, clinic or educational setting, including work with children.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Understanding of Hong Kong government health‑and‑safety regulations for schools.
• Permanent Hong Kong residency or a valid work visa.
