Tenure-Track Clinical Professor in Restorative Dental Sciences (Prosthodontics)

About the role

The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong seeks a Tenure‑Track Clinical Professor in Restorative Dental Sciences (Prosthodontics). The appointment is for a four‑year fixed‑term contract with the prospect of renewal and possible tenure based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead undergraduate and postgraduate education in Prosthodontics.
• Supervise research postgraduate projects and foster cutting‑edge research collaborations.
• Develop and deliver innovative teaching methods aligned with modern educational philosophies.
• Provide distinguished clinical services and mentorship to students and junior staff.
• Contribute to Faculty and University governance, and promote internationally recognised knowledge‑exchange activities.

Required profile

• Dental or medical bachelor’s degree with a clinical specialist qualification in Prosthodontics.
• Ph.D. or equivalent research degree.
• Internationally recognised research record, especially in implant dentistry and/or gerodontics.
• Demonstrated leadership in teaching, clinical practice, and professional networks.
• Strong record of scholarly achievements and external funding.
