Tenure-Track Clinical Professor (Multiple Specialties)

About the role

HKUMed invites outstanding clinicians and researchers to join its Faculty of Medicine on a tenure‑track basis. Positions are available at the Clinical Professor, Clinical Associate Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor levels across a wide range of medical specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
• Lead curriculum development and capacity‑building initiatives within the department.
• Conduct and supervise impactful clinical, basic or translational research projects.
• Provide clinical services at hospitals and clinics affiliated with the HKU Health System.
• Mentor early‑career researchers and contribute to departmental strategic planning.

Required profile

• Medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong (or eligibility for specialist registration).
• For Clinical Professor: specialist registration, distinguished research record, international scholarly recognition, and evidence of leadership.
• For Associate/Assistant Professor: Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (or equivalent) and strong clinical expertise.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum design and research supervision.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in the relevant specialty.
• Research methodology and grant acquisition.
• Curriculum development and instructional design.
• Mentoring and supervision of students and junior staff.
