Tenure-Track Professor in Medical Physics

About the role

The Centre of Cancer Medicine at the University of Hong Kong invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the level of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in Medical Physics. The appointment starts as soon as possible on a three‑year fixed‑term basis, with the possibility of renewal and eventual tenure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead translational physics research in precision radiation oncology.
• Develop and manage collaborative research projects with clinical and radiation oncologists.
• Guide clinical implementation of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence.
• Participate actively in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development and student mentorship.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a related science and board certification (e.g., American Board of Radiology) or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of practice and research experience with a strong record of grant success and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Evidence of recognition such as awards, honors, invited talks or leadership in professional societies.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Experience with artificial‑intelligence techniques, imaging analysis, biophysics modelling and big‑data management.
• Track record of collaborative work with clinical and radiation oncologists.
