Venue Operations Manager

About the role

The Venue Operations Manager leads the security and operational functions of AsiaWorld‑Expo, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality service for all events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain security standards to protect life and property during events.
• Coordinate traffic, parking, roadworks and incident response with Airport Authority, Tsing Ma Control Area, MTRC and government departments.
• Monitor control‑room operations, incident reporting and emergency management.
• Lead the Venue Operations Duty Team to conduct facilities inspections and work with Facilities Management to rectify defects.
• Oversee access control for staff, vehicles and contractors, and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Implement and monitor operating standards for the Duty Team and Security Control Room.
• Inspect security personnel performance, enforce house rules in public and back‑of‑house areas.
• Develop, review and deliver training on SOPs for the Duty Team and Security Control Room.
• Handle administrative duties such as daily logs, incident reports, lost‑and‑found records and duty rosters.
• Perform ad‑hoc assignments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Property Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in event security, logistics or hospitality.
• Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a client‑centred approach.
• Knowledge of local regulatory and legal requirements (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Willingness to work shift duties; valid driving licence is a plus.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Venue Operations Manager role.
