Volunteer: Donation Department Assistant Manager

About the role

Join Crossroads Foundation as a Volunteer Assistant Manager in the Donation Department. You will help ensure donated goods are processed efficiently, supporting the organisation's mission to provide aid to vulnerable communities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and inspect donated goods to confirm they meet quality standards.
• Organise items by category such as clothing, furniture, medical supplies, etc.
• Pack goods safely and efficiently for storage or shipment.
• Assist with inventory management and update records using the stock system.
• Maintain a tidy and well‑organised processing area.
• Support other departments or special projects when needed.
• Lead occasional volunteers, explaining tasks and allocating work.
• Collaborate closely with the processing department manager and regular volunteers.

Required profile

• Commit to a minimum of 2 days per week, Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Ability to work well with the processing manager and a team of volunteers.
• Willingness to lead and guide occasional volunteers.
• Interest in supporting humanitarian and disaster‑relief initiatives.
