Accountant – Luxury Retail Finance Team

About the role

Our client, a world‑renowned luxury Maison, is expanding its regional footprint and seeks a meticulous Accountant to join its finance team. The role will support South Asian entities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑set accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and fixed assets.
• Lead month‑end closing, journal entries and reconciliations in line with IFRS and local GAAP for South Asian entities.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items to maintain clean financial statements.
• Produce precise month‑end financial reports and disclosures for regional leadership.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and outsourced providers for direct and indirect tax filings across South Asian markets.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors during annual audits and statutory reporting.
• Support internal‑control enhancements, system implementations and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA, CPAA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience, preferably in MNCs, retail or multi‑market Asian entities.
• Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP systems.
