Analyst / Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Reporting

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Analyst or Assistant Vice President for Regulatory Reporting based in Hong Kong. The role prepares critical HKMA banking returns and other regulatory reports that underpin the institution's compliance framework, working closely with business operations, risk management, technology and audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare assigned HKMA banking returns, surveys and other regulatory reports with accuracy, completeness, timeliness and compliance.
• Analyse and reconcile regulatory data, identify anomalies and data-quality issues, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Monitor changes in the regulatory landscape, interpret their impact on reporting requirements and controls, and support implementation of required changes.
• Develop and maintain regulatory-reporting policies, procedures, controls and process documentation.
• Support regulatory enquiries, internal and external audits, and management information requests with accurate data and documentation.
• Take part in testing, implementation and post-implementation monitoring of new or amended regulatory requirements and reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve reporting processes, and share knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Analyst: minimum 2 years of experience in banking regulatory reporting in Hong Kong.
• AVP: minimum 5 years of experience in banking regulatory reporting in Hong Kong.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong banking regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of developing policies or procedures related to regulatory reporting.
• Ability to work with business units, risk management teams and technology departments.
