Asset Manager – Datacenter Infrastructure & Services

About the role

ByteDance's Data Center Infrastructure & Services team is looking for an Asset Manager to oversee inbound and outbound logistics, asset storage, and decommissioning activities across regional data centers and warehouses. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational tasks to ensure accurate asset tracking and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional IDC logistics, asset and inventory teams, including external contractors.
• Serve as escalation point for supply‑chain operational issues and drive process improvements.
• Execute asset workflows such as receiving, transfers, stock distribution, RMA, and decommissioning.
• Coordinate last‑mile delivery with integrators, data centers, and warehouses, communicating with LSPs and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Network, Security, and Platform teams to maintain asset accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead cycle‑count activities, support audits, and ensure financial and compliance standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
• Proven experience in data‑center infrastructure, supply‑chain, and logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work across multiple geographies.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with capacity to handle fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Data center hardware knowledge (servers, network equipment).
• Experience with asset‑management processes and contractors.
• Analytical ability to query data sources and derive insights.
