Associate Director, Agency Distribution Learning & Development

About the role

The Associate Director, Agency Distribution Learning & Development will shape the learning strategy for AIA’s agency salesforce across multiple markets. Reporting to the Director of Distribution Learning & Events, you will partner with country Heads of Learning to design and deliver high‑impact programmes that build capability and future‑proof the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the Group Distribution L&D strategy and framework for advisors and leaders.
• Collaborate with country Learning Heads and Agency Distribution leads to implement targeted programmes and track impact.
• Design bespoke training solutions with internal and external subject‑matter experts, using Train‑the‑Trainer or direct delivery models.
• Conduct gap analyses to align business objectives with learning initiatives.
• Create learning communities and manage timelines for rollout across regions.
• Support leadership and frontline capability building, including certifications, rewards and recognition programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• At least 4 years in a management role within an insurance company or intermediary.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering learning programmes for sales or distribution teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
