Associate, Money Market Dealer – Global Market Division for Asia

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Associate, Money Market Dealer for its Global Market Division for Asia. The role manages liquidity risk and optimises profitability through cash and interest rate product dealing, working closely with global treasury offices and colleagues across the region to promote business, share best practices and deliver integrated services for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the line manager in formulating departmental strategies aligned with branch objectives and in facilitating change processes
• Evaluate issues collectively and present considered solutions to the line manager
• Manage balance sheet operations within prescribed limits while adhering to regulations, and optimise revenue
• Manage customer loan and deposit flows, addressing market risks and complying with regulatory requirements
• Anticipate evolving customer expectations, propose measures to strengthen competitiveness and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with colleagues across the region to provide pricing and liquidity insights, educate on global market products and share best practices
• Partner with product offices to support future business opportunities and maintain relationships
• Guide and mentor less experienced team members
• Interpret regulatory requirements, audit findings and branch action plans to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
• Monitor market risks by gathering information from diverse sources and reporting promptly

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
• At least 5 years' relevant experience in Funding, Treasury or Money Market functions within the banking industry
• Experience in liquidity management, funding operations, interbank placements, money market transactions or treasury activities is advantageous
