Clinical Professor of Practice (multiple specialties)

About the role

HKU Medicine invites distinguished clinicians to join its Faculty of Medicine on a non-tenure-track basis as Clinical Professor of Practice, Clinical Associate Professor of Practice, or Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice across a wide range of specialties. Appointments are fixed-term (three to four years) with the possibility of renewal, and may be fractional where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical services within the assigned department or unit.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
• Lead or contribute to basic, translational, and clinical research projects.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives within and beyond the university.
• Participate in departmental strategy, quality improvement, and, where relevant, administrative leadership.

Required profile

• Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong (or eligibility for Hong Kong Academy of Medicine certification).
• Internationally recognised expertise and a sustained record of excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and/or research.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to academic and healthcare collaborations.
• Preference given to candidates with prior administrative or management experience in academic or health-care settings.
