Data Engineer – ETL & BI Specialist

About the role

You will join a leading Hong Kong enterprise that is transforming its finance, leasing and business reporting functions through modern data platforms. As a hands‑on Data Engineer you will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines that turn raw data into actionable insights for multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise end‑to‑end ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Create and maintain data warehouses, data marts and semantic models for enterprise reporting.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for finance, leasing and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, define KPIs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance and performance through validation, monitoring and optimisation.
• Support the full project lifecycle from ingestion and testing to deployment and production support.
• Troubleshoot data issues, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or data‑warehouse development.
• Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end data projects from ingestion to reporting.
• Experience supporting finance, leasing or operational reporting is a plus.
