Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, set‑up and maintain both structured and unstructured research and customer‑centric databases. The role involves handling data from multiple sources, establishing database architecture, and automating data processing to support business analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain databases that integrate self‑owned, research, voice/audio, and social media data.
• Define data structures, cleansing rules, coding schemas and workflow for survey datasets.
• Automate data processing, reporting templates and dashboards using scripts or programs.
• Clean, validate and standardize multi‑source data to ensure quality and consistency.
• Document data dictionaries, field definitions, workflow procedures and provide technical support to team members.
• Perform ad‑hoc data tasks and projects aligned with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in data engineering, database management or business intelligence.
• Strong verbal and written proficiency in English and Chinese.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• SQL.
• Advanced Excel functions.
• Experience with AI tools for database setup and automation.
• Knowledge of SPSS (advantage).
