Data Engineer – Systematic Data Group

About the role

Millennium is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Systematic Data Group. The team supports quantitative investing by building and maintaining data platforms that enable portfolio managers to make real‑time decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systematic option platforms, including referential, pricing, analysis, and research data.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts throughout the full data lifecycle.
• Support quantitative researchers and portfolio managers with data for signal generation, back‑testing, and trading.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance, finance technology, or a comparable industry; buyside experience preferred.
• Master's degree or higher in quantitative finance, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and object‑oriented programming.
• Self‑driven, quick learner with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Python, C++, or Java programming.
• Linux production coding.
• SQL and database experience.
• Familiarity with option data or option trading concepts (preferred).
• Experience with KDB, Apache Iceberg, or Lake Formation (a differentiator).
