Demi Chef – Baker & Savory Prep

About the role

Tastings Group is seeking a talented Demi Chef who can handle both bakery and savory preparation in a fast‑growing restaurant group. The role involves creating, executing, and developing recipes while ensuring high‑quality presentation and strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads and savory items, using scales and measured ingredients.
• Decorate baked goods such as cream pies with pastry bags, glazes, and fillings.
• Adjust mixing and blending equipment timing and speed to follow recipes accurately.
• Prepare garnishes and maintain product presentation.
• Monitor food supplies, place orders, rotate stock to minimise waste.
• Clean, dismantle and store all baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, freezers and refrigerators.
• Ensure proper storage, refrigeration and supply of prepared products.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of baking experience.
• Understanding of food safety practices and ability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Self‑motivated, high energy for multitasking and strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail when inspecting materials and finished products.
