Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineer (Project/Senior)

About the role

Arup is seeking qualified engineers to work on electrical, mechanical and building services projects. The role can be positioned at Engineer, Project Engineer or Senior Engineer level depending on experience, and involves contributing to the design of mission‑critical facilities such as data centres, hospitals and rail or highway infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for mission‑critical facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Prepare and submit design documentation to statutory authorities for approval.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural environment to deliver project outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least two years of post‑chartered experience for senior level; less experience considered for project‑engineer positions.
• Self‑motivated, flexible and able to work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Familiarity with design guidelines, standards, codes of practice and statutory regulations.
• Experience in design of mission‑critical facilities (e.g., data centres, hospitals, rail or highway projects) is a plus.
