Engagement Manager – Insurance & Asset Management

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead high‑impact consulting engagements within its Insurance & Asset Management practice in Hong Kong. You will drive project delivery, build client partnerships, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to thought leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management of project workstreams, ensuring rigorous analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Develop and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, supporting strategic decision‑making.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Collaborate with Partners and Principals to deliver high‑quality consulting services.
• Engage directly with clients through presentations and workshops.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in top‑tier strategy consulting or in Life, General, Health, Reinsurance, or Asset Management sectors.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a respected institution.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of turning complex data into clear insights.
• Proven success leading teams or workstreams under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Strategic expertise in portfolio growth, distribution, internationalization, M&A.
• Operational knowledge of claims management, underwriting processes, technology integration.
• Financial effectiveness skills in risk assessment, capital allocation, regulatory compliance.
