Field Medical Lead - Hematology and Oncology

About the role

Amgen is seeking a Field Medical Lead (FML) specialized in Hematology and Oncology to join its fast‑growing Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) region. Based in Hong Kong, you will act as the medical expert for the field team, delivering accurate scientific information to healthcare professionals and gathering valuable field insights for internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate on clinical, scientific, outcomes and economic data aligned with Amgen’s goals.
• Respond to unsolicited inquiries while adhering to MSL compliance standards.
• Provide field observations and insights to internal teams and support the development of local R&D tactics.
• Execute the scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics.
• Develop and implement local outreach plans, support speaker training, and ensure speakers are updated on new data.
• Support Amgen‑sponsored research, potentially serving as a study lead, and liaise with investigators for non‑sponsored studies.
• Lead or participate in project teams that advance MSL strategies, and mentor new hires or SEA MSLs.
• Collaborate compliantly with cross‑functional colleagues and maintain clinical acumen through ongoing training.

Required profile

• Medical or scientific education; advanced degree (PhD, MD) preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional training.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably with Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and professionally.
