Ground Operations & Security Officer

About the role

The Ground Operations & Security Officer ensures safe, secure and efficient flight operations by coordinating ground handling, monitoring security and cargo processes, and supporting aircraft turnarounds in a dynamic aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Security: safeguard aircraft during turnaround, monitor access, conduct security searches, comply with ISA and local regulations, and report irregularities.
• Ramp Safety: follow company GOM and RSS standards, complete flight and incident reports in IQSMS, and flag safety concerns or service provider deviations.
• Turnaround Coordination: manage assigned flights per TAC procedures, update systems in real time, liaise with ground handlers to achieve on‑time departures, and assist with incident reporting and emergency response.
• Flight Build‑Up Monitoring: issue build‑up instructions based on commercial priorities, oversee cargo loading, resolve irregularities, ensure data accuracy and support flight closure.
• Crew & Special Operations: arrange crew hotel, transport and catering, escort crew or passengers when needed, and support charter flights and special missions.

Required profile

• Minimum High School Diploma; aviation‑related degree is a plus.
• At least 2 years experience in ground operations, cargo handling or aviation security; experience in cargo airlines, freight forwarders or GSA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft turnaround and ramp safety procedures.
• Valid HK Driving License (Class 1) preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in 24/7 shift operations and pass regulatory background checks.
