Head of Communications, Asia Pacific

About the role

The Head of Communications, Asia Pacific leads Christie’s regional communications team, shaping and delivering strategic messaging across the APAC market. This senior position partners with senior leadership to protect and enhance the brand’s reputation while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications plans, including digital and traditional media campaigns, aligned with APAC strategic goals.
• Ensure consistent external communication about sales, events, leadership, and financial performance to target audiences.
• Manage relationships with key media and opinion‑makers in the art and luxury lifestyle sectors.
• Lead a small in‑house PR team and coordinate freelancers or agencies as needed.
• Provide counsel on reputational matters, crisis communications, and sensitive issues.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Content, and Communications colleagues across regions to share best practices and amplify narratives.
• Measure achievement of objectives in partnership with senior regional leaders.

Required profile

• Proven senior communications or public‑relations leadership experience, preferably in a global or luxury brand.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into effective communication programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple internal groups.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media relationships in APAC.
• Experience guiding teams and managing external agencies or freelancers.
