Inspector Trainee (Shift-based)

About the role

We are looking for an Inspector Trainee to support real‑time monitoring and optimisation of tram services in Hong Kong. The role involves working on shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vehicle movements and optimise headways using the OCCS system to minimise service gaps.
• Analyse operational data such as punctuality rates, lost mileage and congestion patterns to identify bottlenecks.
• Assist the Inspector team in managing frontline tram drivers and communicate clearly with traffic crews under pressure.
• Handle traffic accidents, provide assistance to passengers and drivers, and coordinate incident response during disruptions.
• Perform outdoor inspections at tram stops and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• AD/HD or higher in Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
• Valid Hong Kong driving licence (Class 1, 1A, 2 or 2A).
• Strong interest in transport operations and public‑service systems.
• Basic analytical ability to interpret data and identify issues.
• Excellent verbal communication in Cantonese and English; Putonghua is a plus.
• Customer‑oriented mindset, high discipline, safety awareness and flexibility to work shifts.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.
