Junior Antitrust / Competition Lawyer – Hong Kong or Beijing

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm, is looking for a 1‑3 year post‑qualification experience (PQE) Antitrust/Competition Associate to join its fast‑growing Asia‑Pacific practice. The position can be based in either Hong Kong or Beijing and will involve working on high‑profile cross‑border merger filings, multi‑jurisdictional competition analyses, and behavioural matters across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cross‑border merger control filings and obtain regulatory approvals.
• Conduct multi‑jurisdictional competition research and analysis.
• Support senior lawyers on behavioural and market‑definition matters.
• Collaborate closely with transactional teams and local counsel worldwide.
• Prepare and draft antitrust opinions, submissions, and client advisories.

Required profile

• 1–3 years PQE in antitrust or competition law.
• Experience at a leading international or top‑tier law firm.
• Strong academic background with excellent drafting and analytical abilities.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• US or Hong Kong qualification preferred.
