Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join ALS’s global testing team. You will work in a laboratory environment conducting chemical analyses for environmental, food, and Traditional Chinese Medicine samples, supporting research and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and perform chemical testing on assigned sample types.
• Meet turnaround time requirements by completing work efficiently.
• Assist R&D activities as directed.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment according to quality documents.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and perform necessary calculations for analytical methods.
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field (or Level 4+ on the Qualifications Framework).
• 0‑1 year of laboratory testing experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Good computer skills, especially Excel and Word.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (verbal and written).
• Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and collaborate in a team.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with HPLC, UV‑Vis, GC‑MS, LC‑MS, ICP‑MS equipment.
• Excel and Word proficiency.
