Linux & Windows Engineer – Banking & Financial Sector

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Linux and Windows Engineer to support our banking and financial services infrastructure. The role involves maintaining high‑availability server environments, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with application teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Linux and Windows server platforms.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to guarantee stable operations.
• Perform installations, configurations, patch management, and upgrades.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V), backup solutions, and storage infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and resolve infrastructure‑related issues.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related Windows services.
• Implement security controls, vulnerability remediation, and meet compliance requirements.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, system migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and system reports.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Linux and/or Windows system administration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Linux distributions: Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu.
• Microsoft Windows Server and related services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper‑V.
• Backup solutions and storage infrastructure.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Shell Script.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, system monitoring tools, and security controls.
• Familiarity with banking or highly regulated environments is a plus.
