Operations & Engineering Manager

About the role

The Operations & Engineering Manager will lead technical operations, plant maintenance, safety, environmental compliance and engineering projects across Baguio Green Group's waste management facilities. This senior position is responsible for driving productivity, sustainability and commercial performance while managing cross‑border equipment suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all BWM plants, ensuring optimal manpower deployment, throughput targets and resource efficiency.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary engineering projects, plant expansions and capital equipment upgrades from planning through commissioning.
• Manage relationships with international equipment manufacturers, including specifications, factory acceptance testing, procurement and site installation.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maximise machinery reliability and minimise downtime.
• Maintain compliance with environmental legislation, operating licences, permits and ISO 14001 EMS, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Lead and mentor supervisors, engineers, technicians and operators, setting performance targets and training plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• More than 11 years of engineering project management experience in industrial plant operations, recycling or waste management.
• Hands‑on experience with machinery operation, troubleshooting and asset maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary projects and overseas vendors, especially manufacturers in China.
