Public Relations Officer

About the role

The Public Relations Officer supports HK Express’s corporate communications strategy, helping to build and protect the airline’s brand reputation across the region. Working closely with internal teams, media partners and external agencies, the role ensures effective publicity, media engagement and community programmes that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating media and KOL activities, including interviews, feature pitching, familiarisation trips and events.
• Handle daily media enquiries and interview requests from Hong Kong and overseas outlets.
• Support issue handling and crisis management under guidance.
• Draft, edit and translate press releases, corporate fact sheets and feature stories.
• Provide communications and logistics support for PR, CSR and publicity initiatives locally and regionally.
• Liaise with PR agencies, service providers, news‑monitoring firms and event organisers.
• Maintain media, influencer and stakeholder databases; disseminate press releases and statements.
• Conduct media and social‑media monitoring and prepare regular performance reports.
• Offer administrative and coordination assistance to the PR team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Languages or related fields.
• 1–2 years of full‑time experience in a communications role, preferably within aviation, travel or tourism.
• Strong written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to process Chinese characters using standard word‑processing tools.
