Public Relations Officer

About the role

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited, part of the Veolia Group, which provides water, waste and energy solutions, is hiring a Public Relations Officer based in Tuen Mun. The role covers public and stakeholder relations, publicity and education, community outreach, complaint handling, documentation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Foster positive community relations, promote a positive image of safe operations and manage a community outreach plan.
• Promote the waste management structure and system, project extension details and update educational materials.
• Develop and run special outreach projects, arrange site visits and assist with public consultation.
• Manage the project complaint hotline, liaise with stakeholders on concerns, follow up issues and resolve crises during project phases.
• Prepare documents, drawings and presentations for public consultations, attend them to answer queries and maintain the project website.
• Maintain the Public Relation Plan and prepare monthly reports on programmes and issues.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or above in Communications, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in public relations.
• Experience on civil, structural and/or E&M construction sites is an advantage; NGO or industry association experience may also be considered.
• Excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills.
• Meticulous, committed, self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google applications.
