Research Assistant – Hearing Rehabilitation Project

About the role

The successful candidate will support the project leader on a research study examining the impact of hearing rehabilitation interventions on hearing and brain health in older adults with hearing loss. The role involves on‑site data collection at Community CareAge Foundation nursing stations, patient recruitment, health assessments and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site quantitative and qualitative data collection at CCAF nursing stations.
• Coordinate patient recruitment, screening, health assessments and follow‑up visits.
• Support the CCAF team with project‑related administrative matters.
• Draft progress reports and the final research report.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the project leader or delegates.

Required profile

• Honours degree in Nursing, Computer Science, Statistics, Social Sciences or other health‑related discipline (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience coordinating community‑based projects.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• SPSS for statistical analysis.
• Microsoft Office suite, including Chinese word processing.
