Resident Engineer (Site Supervision)

About the role

Arup is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide on‑site supervision for structural and geotechnical works. You will act on behalf of the Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) and/or Registered Geotechnical Engineer (RGE) to ensure construction quality, safety, and compliance with approved plans.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the quality and progress of construction activities on site.
• Implement site safety measures in full compliance with approved supervision plans.
• Carry out supervision duties according to RSE/RGE checklists, including excavation, lateral support, foundation, and superstructure works.
• Coordinate, compile and submit supervision records, non‑conformity reports and follow‑up remedial actions.
• Review and comment on contractor submissions and monitor the performance of the contractor’s TCPs.
• Attend site and project meetings and liaise with the design office on all site‑related matters.

Required profile

• Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Qualified to perform Resident Engineer (T5) duties for RSE or RGE (dual qualification is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of contractual and construction administration matters.
• Civil Engineering degree or related discipline.
• Ability to work independently, with high professionalism and adaptability.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Availability to start around July 2026 is advantageous.
