Senior Data Engineer (AI Data Intelligence)

About the role

Lenovo’s AI Data Intelligence Practice is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise secure, scalable data pipelines that support analytics, AI and enterprise reporting. You will work on batch, CDC, streaming and API‑based integrations on modern cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data platforms.
• Build batch, CDC, streaming and API‑driven data integration solutions.
• Implement data validation, quality, reconciliation and error‑handling frameworks.
• Create reusable data‑engineering components, templates and accelerators.
• Develop cloud‑native data solutions on platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure, AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Support data‑platform migration, modernisation and performance optimisation.
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting and observability for data pipelines.
• Apply DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD and version‑control best practices to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Several years of experience designing and operating large‑scale data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of batch, streaming, CDC and API integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data‑engineering tools.
• Ability to work with architects to translate designs into robust implementations.
• Proficiency in documenting technical designs and deployment processes.
