Senior Java Engineer

About the role

Ceffu is a leading institutional‑grade digital‑asset custody platform that provides secure, compliant, and scalable solutions for enterprises, hedge funds, and financial institutions. We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power our blockchain‑enabled finance products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available Java backend services.
• Own backend architecture and continuously optimise system scalability, reliability and performance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
• Build secure, resilient distributed systems for high‑concurrency workloads.
• Develop and optimise APIs, database models and system integrations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce technical standards and drive engineering best practices.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to AI engineering capabilities, tools and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Java proficiency.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, clean‑code principles and software‑engineering best practices.
• Experience designing distributed systems with emphasis on scalability, reliability and fault tolerance.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
