Senior Manager – Global Ocean Training & Capability Development

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the design and delivery of a global ocean freight training ecosystem, creating role‑based learning pathways and capability roadmaps that support operational excellence across KLN’s international network.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a global ocean training framework, including role‑specific learning pathways and capability development plans.
• Design engaging e‑learning modules, user guides, quick‑reference materials and train‑the‑trainer toolkits.
• Partner with Process Excellence to convert operational changes and system deployments into functional learning content.
• Deliver virtual workshops, executive briefings and train‑the‑trainer sessions for regional operating units.
• Govern a centralized training repository with version control, access rights and content maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with regional training managers to adapt core materials for local market, regulatory and language requirements.
• Monitor completion metrics, adoption rates and feedback to identify and close capability gaps.
• Align ocean training initiatives with corporate HR and enterprise‑wide learning governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in operational training, learning & development, instructional design or business transformation within logistics or freight forwarding.
• Deep knowledge of ocean freight end‑to‑end processes, documentation and system adoption.
• Proven ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear, engaging training materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, documentation and stakeholder‑management skills, with cross‑cultural communication capability.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.
• Proficiency in digital authoring tools for e‑learning development.
• Knowledge of video‑based learning solutions.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled learning tools.
• Understanding of knowledge‑management repositories.
