Superintendent, Baggage Handling System Maintenance

About the role

Join Airport Authority Hong Kong as a Superintendent responsible for the maintenance and reliability of critical baggage handling and related automation systems at one of the world’s busiest airports. You will lead first‑line response, supervise maintenance activities, and ensure smooth operation of multiple high‑tech subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line response and fault attendance for BHS, AABD, EBS, BSS, S@E, RFID and other airport facilities.
• Control and monitor performance of these systems, preparing duty logs and incident reports.
• Assist in developing and refining system failure contingency plans and conduct drill exercises.
• Supervise planned maintenance works during duty shifts and coordinate contractors.
• Perform shift duties on an alternating 2‑day day/night schedule with 2 days off.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma/Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Building Services Engineering or related discipline with at least 4 years relevant experience, or a degree with 2 years experience.
• Candidates with 10 years relevant experience may be considered without formal qualifications.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Valid HK driving licence (Class 1 or 2) preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese; Putonghua knowledge is a plus.
