Senior Manager / Manager, Risk & Regulatory Compliance

About the role

Sia, a global management consulting group founded in 1999, is recruiting a Senior Manager/Manager in Regulatory Compliance in Hong Kong. The role leads a Regulatory & Compliance team and delivers project work for clients, either from the Hong Kong office or at client sites, while also playing a key role in business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a Regulatory & Compliance team and deliver project work across a range of clients, from the Hong Kong office or client sites
• Contribute to business development: drive growth and improve revenue, produce proposals and other client material
• Mentor team members and contribute to their career development
• Keep up to date with regulations and track developments and news across the financial services industry
• Work with other Sia Partners' offices and use the global network for cross-selling and knowledge sharing
• Share knowledge through articles, blogs, networking and speaking at events, contributing to the Sia Partners brand in Asia
• Work on projects covering operational risk, technology risk, compliance risk, regulatory licensing (HKMA, VB, SVF, SFC), financial crime compliance, data privacy, regulatory reporting and independent assessment, ideally with deep expertise in at least one area
• Deliver HKMA/SFC-related assignments, with familiarity of the global and local regulatory landscape
• Analyse the impact of regulation on organisation and processes, discover emerging business opportunities, and manage complex client projects internally and with third parties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Business or Finance
• 7 to 10 years' experience in management consulting and/or financial services preferred
• Prior experience in Risk or Regulatory Compliance is mandatory
• Experience delivering HKMA/SFC-related assignments
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
